LEONARD P. BOSSCHART

Leonard received his Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario in 1986. He then obtained his Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University in 1990 and was called to the Bar of Ontario 1992.

Leonard practices estate planning and estates law, with an emphasis on income and probate tax minimization strategies, business succession planning, estate administration, contested estate matters, including will interpretations and challenges, and passing of trustee's accounts. He also advises trustees and beneficiaries in estate and trust matters, and the establishment and administration of inter vivos trusts. As well, Leonard advises on the establishment and administration of charities.

Leonard is member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association. He is also a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation. He has been a frequent instructor of the Estates Section of the Bar Admission programme of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the author of several articles on estate planning.
