JOHN D. BRUNT

John received his Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Queen’s University in 1987. He then obtained his Bachelor of Laws from Queen’s University in 1990 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1992. John joined the firm in November 2004 after 12 years of practice assisting a wide variety of clients and businesses.

John’s practice focuses on real estate and corporate/commercial matters with a particular emphasis on financing involving both real and personal property. He acts for borrowers and both private and institutional lenders. His experience allows him to provide sophisticated advice to clients on a personal level with respect to business organization, transaction structuring, contractual relationships and financing.

John is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association. He is also an avid sailor, is president of the Canadian Shark Class Association, and races actively in the fleet.
