Jim received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Queen's University in 1993. He then obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Victoria in 1996 and joined the firm upon his call to the Bar of Ontario in 1998.

Jim practices in the areas of banking law, commercial transactions and real estate.

Jim is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
